Leadership Group Meeting 12/09/24
By Lorraine Greco, CEO, OWN Trust
The leadership group of the trust, which comprises of Lorraine Greco, CEO, our three Headteachers, Becky Ford, Neil Reilly, and Colin Marks, our Director of Education Sarah Levy, and our Trust Executive Deputies, met for the first time on the 12th September.
It was a busy but productive meeting, in which we discussed lots of different aspects of the trust. We took the opportunity to reflect on the successes and challenges of the first couple of weeks back in school. We then shared our trust-wide education priorities and looked at collaborative opportunities to share great practice across our schools.
We then took the opportunity to reflect on the feedback provided by staff during the INSET days. This largely centred around ensuring that our trust becomes the very best place for people to work, whilst also looking for opportunities for staff at all levels to work more closely together across the schools, which feeds into our plans for our network groups and joint CPD opportunities for the future.
We also reviewed our assessment processes as we moved our assessment package over to PIXL. This will provide a trust-wide, consistent approach to assessment and, most importantly, the actions taken after assessment to ensure the very best outcomes for our pupils.
Finally, we agreed on a more consistent use of our trust-wide Insight package, which is a data analysis program that allows us to effectively track the progress of our pupils and vulnerable groups.
It was a really positive leadership group meeting which enabled everyone to have a voice and work towards a collaborative and aligned approach across the trust, whilst not losing each school's autonomy.
