Our executive leaders from across the trust met this week at Woodston Primary School. The meeting followed our audit feedback meeting which shared the very positive outcomes of our recent external audit of the trust finances.
The meeting began with an opportunity for a five-minute period of reflection. During that time, leaders were able to use post-it notes to write down any frustrations or concerns they currently have. Leaders were then asked to share one with the group, with the expectation that other leaders would provide any useful suggestions. We talked about a range of things including ensuring we have an impact on our roles, managing staff absence and learning to prioritise jobs and not being afraid to recognise when we need to prioritise our own time as leaders. We also talked about how we can all work more closely with members of the central team to ensure our schools have the very best site and IT provision. We are striving for excellence across the trust.
We then reflected on our move to using PIXL for assessments across the trust. This has been a positive move and staff are already using the PIXL therapies to address gaps in pupils' learning. We then talked about how we will use our Insight data platform to provide useful information to trustees about pupil outcomes. We have come so far in just a few weeks!
We wrapped the meeting up with a long list of Any Other Business, which ranged from exciting updates around EYFS to Christmas lunch plans. We plan to invite the central services teams to our meetings after Christmas and we look forward to working more collaboratively across the trust.
