Leadership Group Meeting 26.06.24
By Colin Marks, Headteacher, Orton Wistow Primary School
This was Stuart’s last Leadership Group meeting as CEO of OWN Trust and it was a positive one. The headteachers from Orton Wistow and Woodston Primary Schools were in attendance, along with the Executive Deputy Headteachers.
The group went through the agreed actions from the last meeting and everything had either been completed or was on track. We then went through the items on the agenda, starting with some standing items such as information sharing to and from the Trust out to schools. We then moved on to the main focus of this meeting, which included a QA update and a look at the work Sarah Levy has been doing on the school support matrices.
All statutory results that have already been recorded on Insight were shared and discussed, comparing to the national picture and the overall picture for the Trust. This included GLD, Phonics, and the MTC. Talks around possible avenues of support for individual schools were included, and the group considered how the champions could be better used.
Stuart shared the updated QA processes and the related documents and there was positive feedback from the group about how much work has been done and the potential of these resources to identify strengths and weaknesses in our curriculums.
At the end of the meeting, Becky shared some information about a product they had organised a demo of ‘My Voice’. This would be an add-on to My Concern and the Safeguarding team will look further into it.
