The Trust's Safeguarding group met again on the 11th October 23, with relevant trustees, governors, and staff all discussing OWN Trust's approach to safeguarding, current challenges, emerging risks, and where improvements can be made. 

The Trust’s policies, procedures, and training have been updated in line with the latest ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (KCSIE) statutory guidance, and we’re pleased to say that the majority of necessary changes were already underway.

Our data continues to evidence that the ongoing collaboration between Subject Matter Experts is improving the outcomes for the pupils, and our new Quality Assurance audit framework, which is being introduced in the Autumn Term, is expected to help create an even more robust environment.
