Peterborough Primary Headteachers' Day 06.03.25

Organised by the Local Authority and facilitated by OWN Trust, Peterborough Primary Headteachers' Days are an opportunity for local headteachers to network, recharge and stay informed.

The latest event took place at Allia Business Centre on 6th March 2025. 

The theme of the spring term meeting was to continue to focus on effective leadership, drawing on local examples.

Fifty-two school and trust leaders attended the event, which included:

  • Improving Children’s education and well-being in Peterborough through Effective Leadership of Children’s Services by John Gregg, Executive Director of Children’s Services, PCC
  • A Case Study of School Improvement: Paston Ridings Primary School. Establishing a culture of high aspirations, developing leadership, improving provision by Colette Firth-Wigglesworth, Executive Head, St John's Church School, Paston Ridings Primary School, Barnack C of E Primary School and Winyates Primary School
  • Teach East - Updates by Sarah Granville, Teach East
  • Keynote Speaker, Edward Watson from Innerdrive on The Five Pillars of Leadership 
  • A Case Study of Castor C of E Primary School by Suzie Phillips, Headteacher 
  • What is our Why? by Carrie Traill, Service Director for Education, PCC
  • School Improvement Updates by Nick Beech and SIT, PCC
  • Cluster Group Discussions
